Hastings Raiders High School
Trap and Skeet Team
The MN State High School Clay Target League offered three $2,000 scholarships to students athletes that participated in the 2018 spring league to students seeking a career in environmental studies or conservation industries. Hastings Raiders senior Elli Walker was presented with one of the three scholarships at the State Trap Shooting Championship in Alexandria on June 20th.
Over the summer a small number of our shooters participated in a Youth Summer Sporting Clays League at the South St. Paul Rod and Gun Club as well as the YESS4MN Summer Sporting Clay League. Our team will receive a $3,000 donation to our Midway USA Foundation Endowment fund as a result of their participation.
On Saturday August 5th some of our shooters paid it forward and volunteered to shoot in a 50 round high school team trap shooting competition at the South St. Paul Rod and Gun Club Annual Family Fun Shoot. The Hastings 5 person squad of Dawson Hobbs, Alex Johnson, Nick Skov, Aaron Steding and Elli Walker placed 3rd earning a medal
